Every way to point a tool at MagmaRouter. Each guide uses the config the tool's own docs specify, checked in September 2026. Where a tool cannot reach MagmaRouter as built, we say so rather than ship a broken snippet.

The flagship is Claude Code, through the Anthropic-compatible endpoint. Everything else uses the OpenAI-compatible base URL https://api.magmarouter.com/v1. For a model to drive an agent that edits files, it has to support tool calling; the model list marks which do.

Claude Agent SDK (Python)Run the Python Claude Agent SDK against MagmaRouter by passing the Anthropic base URL and auth token through ClaudeAgentOptions env. OpenCodeAdd MagmaRouter to OpenCode as an OpenAI-compatible provider in opencode.json, with real context limits and your key from the environment. ClineAdd MagmaRouter to Cline by selecting the OpenAI Compatible provider and entering the MagmaRouter base URL, your key and a model id. Roo CodeAdd MagmaRouter to Roo Code through its OpenAI Compatible provider. Roo Code uses native tool calling, so pick a tool-capable model. Kilo CodeAdd MagmaRouter to Kilo Code as a custom OpenAI Compatible provider. Kilo can auto-detect the catalogue from the /v1/models endpoint. ContinueAdd MagmaRouter to Continue with a provider: openai model block, apiBase set to the MagmaRouter endpoint, and the key from the Continue .env. ZedAdd MagmaRouter to Zed as an openai_compatible language model provider in settings.json, with your key stored in the keychain, not the file. CursorCursor can override the OpenAI base URL to reach MagmaRouter for chat and agent with custom models, but Composer rejects custom keys and Tab stays on Cursor.

OpenAI SDK (TS)Point the openai Node/TypeScript client at MagmaRouter by setting baseURL to the OpenAI-compatible endpoint. No other code changes. curlA plain curl request to the MagmaRouter OpenAI-compatible chat completions endpoint, with the bearer key and a JSON body.

Frameworks

LiteLLMCall MagmaRouter from the LiteLLM SDK or Proxy with the openai/ model prefix and api_base set to the MagmaRouter endpoint. LangChainUse ChatOpenAI against MagmaRouter by setting base_url and turning off the Responses API. Works in Python and JavaScript. LlamaIndexUse the OpenAILike LLM from LlamaIndex with api_base set to MagmaRouter, is_chat_model on, and the real context window. Vercel AI SDKCreate a MagmaRouter provider with @ai-sdk/openai-compatible and its baseURL, then generate text. Avoids the Responses API trap of the plain openai provider.

CLI

AiderPoint Aider at MagmaRouter with the OPENAI_API_BASE environment variable and the openai/ model prefix. Works from the shell or .aider.conf.yml.

Apps

Open WebUIAdd MagmaRouter as an OpenAI connection in Open WebUI, through Admin Settings Connections or the OPENAI_API_BASE_URL environment variable. n8nSet a custom Base URL on the n8n OpenAI credential to reach MagmaRouter, and turn off Use Responses API on the OpenAI Chat Model node.
